Glintside Watch Faces Privacy Policy

Summary

• Glintside watch faces don't collect, store or send any of your data. They have no code of their own, no internet access and no permissions.
• Everything a face shows, such as the time, weather, battery, steps or heart rate, comes from your watch or from apps you choose, and is only drawn on your watch screen.
• Google Play handles your purchase. Google gives us limited order details, which we use only to manage sales, refunds, tax and support.
• If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

1 Who we are

Glintside ("we", "us" or "our") is an independent publisher of paid Wear OS watch faces sold on Google Play. We are based in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.

This policy covers every Glintside watch face listed in Section 2. It is published at glintside.com/watchfaces/privacy.

2 Watch faces this policy covers

Each watch face is a paid app with a one-time price, sold on Google Play. Each requires Wear OS 6 or later.

Two Places

• Package name: com.glintside.watchfaces.twoplaces
• Shows: your home time and date, and the time in a second city you pick from a built-in list of cities.
• Data comes from: your watch's clock and its own time-zone data. It also has two optional complication slots, empty by default, which show data from apps you choose.

Next Hours

• Package name: com.glintside.watchfaces.nexthours
• Shows: the time, current weather and a forecast for the next few hours.
• Data comes from: your watch's clock and your watch's own Wear OS weather service. It has no complication slots.

Big Three

• Package name: com.glintside.watchfaces.bigthree
• Shows: the time, your battery level and charging status, and three complication slots (for example steps, heart rate and battery).
• Data comes from: your watch's clock and battery status, and the apps you choose for each slot.

Terrace

• Package name: com.glintside.watchfaces.terrace
• Shows: the time and two optional complication slots, empty by default.
• Data comes from: your watch's clock and the apps you choose for each slot.

3 What the watch faces collect

Nothing. Every Glintside watch face is built with Google's Watch Face Format. Each app contains only layout files, images and fonts, with no program code of our own. Wear OS reads these files and draws the face.

The watch faces don't request any permissions and have no internet access. They contain no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or other third-party software. They have no accounts, no sign-in, no in-app purchases and no phone companion app. Because of this, the watch faces have no way to send information to us or to anyone else.

4 Information shown on your watch, and who provides it

The time and date come from your watch. Two Places works out the second city's time using the time-zone rules already on your watch.

Weather on Next Hours comes from your watch's own Wear OS weather service. That service, not the watch face, decides how weather is fetched and whether your location is used, under the privacy policy of Google or your watch maker. The watch face never reads your location.

Complications are slots where you choose what to show, such as battery, steps, heart rate or information from another app installed on your watch. That data comes from the app you choose (for example Samsung Health or the system), stays on your watch and is covered by that app's own privacy policy. The watch face only displays it. Health information such as steps or heart rate appears only if you put that kind of complication in a slot.

5 Settings stored on your watch

The choices you make in your watch's face editor, such as colour palette, second city, 12- or 24-hour time, or which complication goes in which slot, are stored by Wear OS on your watch. We never receive them. Your watch or watch maker may include these settings in its own backups, under its own privacy policy.

6 Purchases through Google Play

Google Play handles buying, payment, refunds, downloads, updates and installation under the Google Privacy Policy. We never see your card or payment details.

7 Information we receive from Google Play

Through the Google Play Console, Google gives us order details for each purchase. These include the order number, date, price and country or region, and may include the buyer's name and approximate location (such as state or city) as Google provides them.

Google also gives us combined statistics that don't identify you, such as install counts, ratings and reviews, and crash and "app not responding" reports that Google collects from users who allow it.

We use this information only to manage sales, refunds, tax and support, and to keep the watch faces working. We don't sell or share it, except where the law requires, such as for tax records. We keep order records for as long as tax and other laws require.

8 Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you, and we delete it when it is no longer needed. Email services that carry your message also handle it under their own policies.

9 Children

The watch faces are not directed at children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where you live. We don't knowingly collect anyone's personal information.

10 Your choices and rights

To remove a watch face and its settings, uninstall it from your watch. You can also change or reset its settings in your watch's face editor at any time.

Information held by Google Play, your watch maker, Wear OS or apps you use for complications is covered by their own privacy policies. Use their controls to view or remove it.

11 Where we are based and which laws apply

Glintside is based in India, and we handle personal information in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or elsewhere, your local law may give you other rights. Contact us and we will help you use them.

12 Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Where the law requires, we will also give you additional notice.
